Revisions to Reagan's "Tear Down This Wall" speech:
My previous draft strayed away from the purpose of putting type into motion through kinetic compositions. Throughout (almost) all the spreads, there is a line that horizontally splits the compositions in half, visually referencing the Berline wall. With this element, I worked to design type that kinetically plays off the line. I also tried to use red throughout my compositions in a more purposeful way. I think by doing this, by adding red in purposeful ways, it references Communism as well as the powerful message within Reagan's speech. I think, with these revisions, I'm starting to connect type with imagery and meaning.
