Award-winning journalist, James B. Steele is coming to KU to speak on his book, The Betrayal of the American Dream (check out his wikipedia page for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_B._Steele)
Anyways, I got the opportunity to design a poster for his lecture series. I wasn't quite sure what direction I wanted to take this poster. Peter Sagal was bit of a flop design-wise. Learning from those mistakes, I concentrated on keeping this poster simple, to the point, and clever. Every time I printed out a version of the poster I tore it in half. In doing this, I think it illustrated Steele's topic as well as providing a small organic element in the vector design.
